GENDER INEQUALITIES IN HIGHER LEARNING INSTITUTIONS

Overview

Gender Inequalities refers to unequal treatment or perceptions of individuals’ base on their gender, which is whether the individual is female or male. The situation of gender inequalities has been extraordinary diverse and wide spread which causes and effects in normal interactions all the time, as we all conduct our lives choosing actions, making decisions and trying to influence others. This article will explain gender inequality specific in United Republic of Tanzania. 

Gender inequalities in different ways regards to the development and understanding capacity of the country or state concerned (makers team, March 07.2015 on international Women’s Day)

Gender inequalities mostly practiced in some of developing countries and countries which are under developed (TGNP)

Basically Gender inequalities treat women as the weak and incapable group of people, who has got no rights to own land, to get education, to make decisions and in many other things compared to men.

In most of all in this issue, men are the ones to deserve good positions in leadership, get good education, making family decisions, to own land and many other super positions.

However as the topic says, Gender inequalities in Higher learning Institutions is the treatment (unequal treatment) of the individual female/male towards the higher level of education.

Here with the group of people who gets mistreatment towards is the female gender. As it can be seen in different institutions, that women are less than men or can be said that the level of educated women is less compared to men.

Gender Inequalities can be caused by belief and culture of that given society which all together caused by poor understanding of gender equality.

Some culture has found no tendency of educating women just because of their belief that, when a woman is going to get married she is going to sustain her family, with her husband, and not the family she is coming from. (Mwihambi Loyce, Gender Inequality in Higher Learning Institutes Research paper, 2009).
