Dr. John Joseph Pombe Magufuli born in Chato district of Geita region, North West of Tanzania: He won the presidential election in 2015. He is the 5th President in 5th phase of presidential in Tanzania, with the slogan of “Hapa Kazi Tu”. The 1st President in 1st phase of presidential in Tanzania was the late Julius Kambarage Nyerere, who is the founder, father of the Tanzania national, and he is the base of Tanzania polices. The 2nd President in 2nd phase of presidential in Tanzania was Ndugu Ali Hassan Mwinyi, he known as Mzee Ruksa, and he performs greatly during his presidential phase. The 3rd President in 3rd phase of presidential in Tanzania was Ndugu Benjamin William Mkapa, with the slogan of “Ukweli Na Uwazi”, and he performs greatly during his presidential phase. The 4th President in 4th phase of presidential in Tanzania was Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, with the slogan of “Hari Mpya, Nguvu Mpya, na Kasi Mpya”, and he performs greatly during his presidential phase. All the former presidents perform greatly during their presidential phases and it needs more than an article to explain.

This article highlighting some few outcomes of Dr. John Joseph Pombe Magufuli’s effort in his presidential phase, specific in economic growth; improve and strengthening revenue collection and control expenditures; reduction of spending and dishonest consumption; upgrading  and construction of infrastructure; uphold local industries; poverty reduction and employment creation; improve accessibility of energy and water supplies; combat corruption; improved investment atmosphere; improved tourism atmosphere; disciplined civil workers; ensuring and improve labor force; facilitate free education; upgrading healthy sector; legally establishment of government city; establishment of fast tracking industrialization strategy; and corona  defeated.

Positive Economic Growth

He succeeds to move Tanzania in uchumi wa kati, the World bank confirmed in 1st July 2020

The daily activities promote economic growth of the country, this is due to performed well of every individual and, by decide to work hard and with consideration of required specific skills, knowledge, and with honest.

He ensures natural resources support economic growth and benefit the whole members.

 

Improve and Strengthening Revenue Collection.

Improvement and strengthening revenue collection by improve collection system, disciplined dishonest collection workers, control expenditure and take more other measures.

Electronic revenue collection by Government electronic Payment Gateway – GePG lead to collection of 122 percentages of the budget estimated (2018/2019) of non tax collections in government institutions.

To mention in few, income collection can be outlined as:

Increase of non tax collection from 688.7 Billion shilling in 2014/2015 to 2.4 Trillion shilling in 2018/2019.

Increase monthly average tax collection, from 850 Billion shilling in 2015 to 1.3 Trillion shilling by June 2020.

Income collection increase from 11.0 Trillion shilling in 2014/2015 to 18.5 Trillion shilling in 2018/2019

In December 2019, TRA collected 1.987 Trillion shilling, the highest collection.

Increase of national income by 7% in 2018 

The increases of collection lead to increase development budget from 26% to 40% in average.

 

Upgrading and Construction of Transport Infrastructure

Construction of transport infrastructure such as rail network, road, and ports

Revival of national air company (ATCL) by construction of airport infrastructure, including completed construction of terminal three in Julius Nyerere Airport, and other ports, purchase of brand new eleven airplanes including Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, Bombardier Q400, Air bus  A220-300 and so on.

Phase one construction of standard gauge rail completed by not less than 48% (from DSM to Moro 300km)by June 2020, and phase two completed by not less than 30% (from Morogoro to Makutupora 422km), with the budget of 7.062 Trillion shilling.

Completed construction of 13,000 km road kwa kiwango cha lami by June 2020, construction of bridges, Nyerere bridge Kigamboni, Magufuli bridge Kilombero, beginning of new Salenda bridge of 1.3 km at Indian ocean DSM,  Mfugale bridge at the Tazara junction, Busisi bridge of 3.2 km at Kigongo, Wami bridge of 515.5 meter, and so on. Ubungo interchange road at Ubungo junction. Construction of eight ways road from Kimara DSM to Kibaha 19 km

Facilitate local Industries

Production industry is one of the economic sectors in the country. He facilitates start up of new 8,477 production industries, this includes 201 large, 460 middle, 3,406 small, and 4,410 very small industries. These industries employed 482,601 workers and hence created employment in the nation.

Poverty Reduction and Employment Creation

He speeds up poverty reduction and employment atmosphere. Construction of rail network and Stigler’s gorge employed 6,000 and 3,500 respectively. In all large construction projects citizen were employed, this increase individual income and hence reduce poverty among the families.

 

Improve Accessibility of Energy and Water Supplies

He facilitates construction electricity supply project Julius Nyerere Hydropower Station, at Rufiji River, this will supply capacity of 2,115 megawatts, the project budgeted 6.5 Trillion shilling. Construction of electricity supply Kinyerezi I project with capacity of 240 megawatts, construction of electricity supply Kinyerezi II project with capacity of 325 megawatts (from 150 megawatts former supply capacity). This increase the energy accessibility from 35% to 85%, this lead to electricity connection charges decrease from 177,000 shilling to 27,000 shilling. He facilitates electricity supply to 9,112 villages (2018 villages had power by 2015, increased to 9,112 villages by April 2020) out of 12,268 Tanzania villages by April 2020. Among other things, this will boost industrial economy.

Improve water accessibility and Supplies from 47% 2015 to 70.1% 2020 in rural villages, and from 74% 2015 to 84% 2020 in urban villages.

 

Combat Corruption and improve Transparency

Transparency International report of 2018 rank Tanzania 16th in South Africa Sahara Countries, compared to rank 27th of 2015.

 

Disciplined Civil Workers

32,555 civil workers were disciplined in total by June 2020. Obliterated 19,708 ghost workers, they cost 19.8 billion shilling each month

Upgrade and Facilitation Education

Free education for primary school, and ordinary level secondary schools, government spends 1.01 Trillion shilling by February 2020.

Constructed and increases primary schools from 16,899 in 2015 to 17,804 in 2020

Increase in university registration from 65,000 in 2015 to 87,813 in 2020

Increase of standard one registration from 1.0 million in 2015 to 1.6 million in 2020

Rehabilitate of 18 education institutes and construct new education institutes of Mulutungulu and Kabanga.

Provide a total of 1,550 computer sets in the 35 education institutes

Higher learning student’s loan increases from 348.7 Billion shilling 2014/2015 to 450 Billion shilling in 2019/2020 

Provide 2,956 laboratory equipments.

Increases form one and form four number of secondary school students from 1,648,356 in 2015 to 2,185,035 by 2020

 

Upgrade Healthy Sector

Improvement in health sector at the level of region, districts and wards by construction a total of 1,769 hospitals and medical centers, ease availability of medicine, ease availability of biometrics equipments and devices, purchased of 117 new ambulance, with a total of 106,031 employed health sector workers by June 2020.

Construction of Mara regional hospital, Mwalimu Nyerere memoria hospital

Increase budget of health sector from 31 Billion shilling in 2015 to 270 billion shilling by June 2020

 

Legally Establishment of Government City, Dodoma

Construction of 23 official buildings in Dodoma government city  

 

Establishment of Fast Tracking Industrialization Strategy

Starts implement fast tracking industrialization strategy

Corona Defeated

He encouraged fight against corona, by prayer, uphold traditional medicine, nyungu and by take international standard healthy preventive measures

To conclude, I can say that, Tanzania moving forward fast and in the right direction by the leadership of Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli in the 5th presidential phase, by mention some, enhance and promote economic growth, improve and strengthening revenue collection and control expenditures, reduction of spending and dishonest consumption, upgrading  and construction of infrastructure, uphold local industries, poverty reduction and employment creation, improve accessibility of energy and water supplies, combat corruption, improved investment atmosphere, improved tourism atmosphere, disciplined civil workers, ensuring and improve labor force, facilitate free education, upgrade healthy facilitation, legally establishment of government city, establishment of fast tracking industrialization strategy, and corona  defeated.
